Therapy

How much time do adults spend on self-care each day? Less than 7%*
Counseling can often uncover the root cause of a failure to care for one’s self.

Individual self-care has been correlated to positive health outcomes including being more in touch with emotions and being more confident & equipped to manage stress and anxiety.

What is Therapy?

Psychotherapy, also known as talk-therapy, can be helpful for anyone going through a life change or adjustment (such as changing jobs, welcoming a new member into your family, moving, or retiring) that may cause individual stress and/or anxiety causing a ripple effect that can disrupt your daily functioning.

In a 55 minute virtual Therapy session, you can expect counseling to focus on brief and solution-focused techniques. Therapy can assist you in understanding the meaning behind the stressor and reframe it, reduce the stressor and symptoms, develop effective coping and problem-solving skills, and learn better ways to manage your stress.

“Through this counseling process, I’ve been able to articulate and formalize goals, learn about myself and my capabilities and ability to operate in a fairly transient and ambiguous environment. I believe this is in large part due to my therapist and her ability to help me identify my motivation and importance of investing in myself.”
